Did you know? …

Acupuncture has its origins in China over five thousand years ago. It is based on the belief that health is determined by a balanced flow of energy known as qi or chi.

This vital energy exists in all living organisms. In humans, this energy circulates along twelve channels known as meridians, each linked to specific internal organs and organ systems. Ancient literature reports over one thousand acupuncture points within the meridian system.

Modern acupuncture uses only about three to four hundred of these points. The technique involves stimulating the point within the meridian with needles inserted into the point to a depth specific to this location. Stimulating the point helps to correct and rebalance the flow of energy to the point and thus through the meridian.

Major uses of Acupuncture include, but are not limited to, pain management, addiction, mental/emotional disorders, fertility or reproductive problems and immunodeficiency.
