Why is Food Allergy & Sensitivity Testing important?
Pure Wellness Group offers different types of tests for food allergies and sensitivities, including conventional food allergy testing in serum, finger prick testing for food sensitivities, or dietary elimination strategies.
When an immune reaction occurs, the immune system reacts by releasing cells called antibodies. The foods and inhaled particles that provoke the release of antibodies are called allergens. Two commonly produced antibodies are IgG (immunoglobulin G) and IgE (immunoglobulin E). Food Sensitivity Testing involves testing for the IgG immune response to a variety of foods. IgG testing requires a simple finger poke, taken at home.
Conditions related to IgG food sensitivities:
- Headaches and high blood pressure
- Mood disorders
- Asthma and recurring respiratory infections
- Joint pain
- Runny noses and puffiness around the eyes
