Dr. Tara O’Brien, HBSc., ND
Dr. Tara O’Brien is a naturopathic doctor, a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Laurentian University. She is registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
In addition to her naturopathic training, Tara has also completed a two year Clinical Residency at CCNM. As a resident, she assisted in teaching several courses, as well as supervising naturopathic interns at the Sherbourne Health Centre, Anishnawbe Community Health Care Centre and the Robert Schad Naturopathic Adjunctive Cancer Care Clinic.
Dr. Tara O’Brien’s naturopathic practice is family-oriented with a focus on women’s health, fertility treatment and pediatric care. She received specific training in naturopathic pediatric care during her internship at CCNM and believes strongly that we must invest in the health of our children today. She has a great passion for empowering others to improve their own health, and thereby their quality of life, through naturopathic medicine.
Dr. Tara O’Brien practices primary care naturopathic medicine using physical exams, diagnostic exams and laboratory tests. She offers an integrative approach which includes acupuncture, full gynecological examinations, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, botanical therapy, detoxification, lifestyle and weight loss counselling and traditional Chinese medicine.
